As mobile emergency locksmiths we do a lot of miles. We have to come to you! So recently, we looked at how we could further reduce our carbon footprint as a company. We already have modern fuel efficient vans, with super lubricant low friction engine coatings, simply because of fuel costs, so there was little to be gained there, so instead we looked at what we ran them on.
There are various bio-fuel conversions and ideas that claim to help the planet, but, after some research and looking at factors like availability across a wide travelling area, we settled on the FleetGreen fuelcard system. This replaces a percentage of our used diesel with carbon offset via biofuels, and last week we saved a small but significant 8.32Kg of carbon dioxide. When you consider how light gas is, that’s a lot of gas!
