Rebuilding a lock to save the customer money

Rebuilding a lock to save the customer money

Nice bit of locksmithing this afternoon! Customer calls, the front common door lock is broken.

I attend, and some sod has superglued a matchstick into the cylinder! Completely wrecked, aside from the first pin. So, with 11 flats in the building, that’s over £200 of new keys. So, I took the lock, and the keys, and made a new lock cylinder that fits the old key. Refitted it, all good!
