This couple were charged £2500 for a simple opening, and then fleeced of another £2500 to repair the damage!

Sure, “London prices”, but there is at least one Edinburgh scammer who (tried to) charged an elderly couple £1100 for a simple gain entry at 11pm. I say “tried to” because when challenged he dropped the demand to “only” £900, which they unfortunately paid to get the large man out of their home well past midnight!
