An exciting week for Discreet Security Solutions. On Monday we took delivery of our newest bit of manufacturing capability, an ABS extrusion 3D printer!

Capable of a resolution of +/-0.12mm on a 0.2mm thick layer, it features a heated bed for part stability. For faster printing, up to a 0.4mm layer thickness is possible, halving the effective vertical resolution, but also halving the print time.

As you can see in this photo, even challenging builds are made straightforward. This part is to test the height limit of the machine, and it carried out the task without issue, despite being about 125mm tall.
