Apparently, criminal gangs are using ‘secret signs’ to mark targets for burglary and they, stealing the idea from the hobo culture of the USA from years ago.

Oh no, all panic, what should we do?
The police are advising people to remove the stickers… Having people remove them is backwards! It
actually helps the bad guys as only unoccupied & really vulnerable places will remain marked.
Chalk is good as it washes off. This keeps it ‘current’ – unlike stickers which last a decade. Which would rather ruin their plan.
So, easy solution: print 10,000 of these stickers & flood their ‘market’ by ensuring there are hundreds.
Likewise, have 2000 people chalk random selections of the symbols every day & they would become useless…
(Yes, it is a real life DDoS attack I am suggesting. :-))
